- ContaCam runs on Windows 7 or higher and on Windows Server 2008 R2 or higher, if having more than 3 GB of RAM, please use the 64-bit OS version.

32-bit vs. 64-bit and RAM
ContaCam is a 32-bit application which works on both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows. Usually 32-bit applications cannot profit from more than 2 GB of RAM, but ContaCam is smart enough and uses the page file system to buffer the video frames. As Windows caches the page file to RAM, ContaCam profits well from all of your installed RAM. Please DO NOT disable the page file in your Windows OS under the Advanced System Settings.
